Characteristics Of Rubber Accelerator

- Oct 11, 2018-

The addition of accelerant in rubber can promote the reaction between rubber and vulcanizing agent, improve the curing speed, reduce the curing temperature, shorten the curing time, reduce the dosage of vulcanizing agent, and improve the physical and mechanical properties and chemical properties of vulcanizing agent.

A. different rubber USES different vulcanization systems and different types of accelerators.

B. Accelerant plays a decisive role in coke burning performance. Proper accelerator selection is conducive to mixing, rolling, extrusion and operation safety of the adhesive.

Generally, mold curing requires a certain amount of coking time, while no molding sulphur does not require too long coking time.

C. The anti-coking performance of promoters is related to their critical temperature. If the accelerator is activated rapidly beyond the critical temperature, some promoters will be inhibited when a variety of promoters are used together, and some promoters will show greater activity at the critical temperature.

D. The combination of accelerator should make the adhesive broad and flat.

Rubber is a poor conductor of heat, the surface of the glue is not a unique case of heat, wide flat curing is to avoid sulfur, and to make all parts of the product vulcanization uniform guarantee.

E. Reasonable combination of promoters can also improve aging performance of vulcanized rubber, have certain plasticizing effect, and improve the processing performance of the rubber.

Disadvantages: poor dispersibility of promoters, contamination, and currently used promoters are generally not toxic.
